My Response To Tom Arnold

As I scrolled through the Fox News website I found an article penned by Tom Arnold, http://fxn.ws/2b8wewy, as I read the article I saw where he was quick to point out that he is a supporter of the 2nd amendment, which I guess he thought would make every other statement in his letter acceptable to all. Well, it didn’t. I would encourage you to read the article to judge for yourself. What I will attempt to do is rebuttal several points he makes in his article. He starts off by saying he has since he was 5 years old, had a familiarity with guns. He leaps from there to his travels with the USO, which I commend him for, any celebrity that takes their time to entertain our troops deserves to be recognized. He says it was during this time that he understands after seeing the violence in those areas why we have a gun-suicide problem amongst our veterans. Here is where I will take my first issue with his analogy. The anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment groups, and now Tom Arnold, continue to bring guns into the picture blaming the gun for the suicides of our soldiers or anyone who chooses to use a gun to end their life. If anyone, a soldier or anyone else who is in such a confused state of mind wants to commit suicide and has come to a point of no return by convincing themselves there is no way to continue won’t change their mind if they can’t find a gun. The gun is not what makes them want to commit suicide. I have worked many suicide cases during my career and people find all kinds of ways to end their life. Some use guns, but if no gun is available they hang their self, run a hose from the exhaust pipe into the car and die of carbon monoxide, I have worked suicides where people stepped in front of 18 wheelers on the freeway, jumped in front of trains, taken overdose of prescription and non-prescription drugs, etc. Guns are not what make these people commit suicide. The anti-gun group by carefully wording their stories would have you believe every death by suicide is because a gun was available and if we take away the guns there wouldn’t be any more suicides or the number would be very small. Twenty-Five years in law enforcement proves differently.

In reading this article the first two paragraphs would lead you to believe Tom is actually supporting gun ownership and as you start the third paragraph you start to ask yourself where is he going with his thoughts. Then the truth comes out. His nephew Spencer, committed suicide with a gun. Here is where I really take issue with Toms article. Tom tells us his nephew was small and was probably picked on and was kicked out of the army for attempting to commit suicide. He was diagnosed as chronically depressed and unsafe around guns (clue number one). Here is where I will agree with Tom, why was Spencer able to obtain a concealed gun permit and purchase five guns if he was already labeled unsafe around guns. We have got to admit there are people who do not need to be in possession of any guns but because we now live in a society where it is not politically correct to point out a person’s mental defect and because of HIPPA laws we continue allowing these people to buy guns. Tom goes own to say that like him Spencer was a substance abuser (clue number two) and refused Toms help with that so Tom became very concerned. But not concerned enough to say something about Spencer having guns. Tom goes on to say he discovered that Spencer had joined “a crazy, racist, neo-Nazi gun group and videotaped his self-shooting his assault rifles while drunk (clue number three). Tom says he headed to the airport to see Spencer but doesn’t offer any other information. Did he see him or not?

According to Tom, Spencer’s life was stacked against him; he was small, kicked out of the army, bullied and picked on, was a mental defect, and needed to belong to something that offered him something dangerous and cool.

Tom says that on May 2nd, Spencer called a girl and the two got into a disagreement, “so my handsome 24-year old nephew reached over and grabbed one of the five loaded guns on his nightstand and shot himself in the head”. Tom does say, Spencer having five loaded guns next to his bed every night is like me sleeping next to a dresser made out of chocolate cake and filled with cocaine. Why didn’t Tom remove the guns himself? Would he have left cocaine in the house if Spencer were a cocaine addict?

Throughout his article, there are clues which I listed. Tom, at any point, could have intervened during any of these clues and stopped this senseless death but he chose not to. Tom could have stepped in and brought it to the attention of the state that Spencer had been diagnosed as Chronically Depressed and dangerous around guns. He could have stepped in when Spencer started drinking. He could have stepped in when Spencer joined the neo-Nazi group or reported that to law enforcement officials. There were several missed opportunities for Tom to have intervened but he didn’t, so who does he blame for Spencer’s death? Why of course, he blames the NRA. He blames the NRA for the lack of gun control by saying they scared Congress into not passing stricter gun control laws and not closing the numerous loopholes that allow guns to be purchased without background checks. Tom is now shifting from Spencer “legally” purchasing multiple guns to “now we have a loophole problem.” We do have a loophole problem but it is not with the gun laws, it is with the reporting of people like Spencer to the proper authorities. He goes on to say that the NRA has convinced people that a home with a gun is safer than a home without a gun. He says there is a 1 in 8 chance that the person who gets hurt by that gun will not be an intruder but will be a friend or family member. He makes that claim knowing there are statistics that prove different. He also says that some believe guns are a direct gift from God Himself. Tom, now you are beginning to sound a little crazy yourself.

Tom can’t face the truth in this story and that truth is that he is one of the reasons Spencer is dead. He recognized and listed several clues and opportunities that any reasonable person could see would lead to a very bad ending. Instead, he probably didn’t want to interfere and humiliate Spencer anymore. He probably was afraid of what other family members might say if he did or said anything that would bring embarrassment to Spencer or the family name. Well Tom, how did that work for you. Tom, just like most people when they face the truth of their inaction they want to blame it on someone or something else and in this case the NRA filled that need. For Liberty and Freedom, Ernie.

When Will This Carnage Stop

Here we go again, another school shooting, massacre, slaying, slaughter or what ever you might choose to label it. No matter the label, people died. It might have been someone’s husband, wife, daughter, son, brother or sister or any countless combinations of victims. What are their names? I don’t know and I know I will be deemed uncaring, unsympathetic, compassionless, (okay I admit I am all of those things) but the names aren’t important. What is important is we can’t let this incident go by without using it to march forward the issue of gun control. As usual President Obama came to the podium within hours and used the heart breaking incident to preach not about the coming together as a community to offer strength to the families of the victims and to each other, not suggesting to the people to offer help to the community that was desperately short of resources, his mentioning of these items was minimal compared to what his main goal was. Instead, his main focus was once again just as it was in South Caroline and Newtown, Conn., and that was the unwillingness of America to come to grips with the only way to curb this type of killings is with more comprehensive gun control. This thinking has been the argument every time we have had changes to our policies regarding the purchase of guns, and with every tightening of the restriction we can’t document any notable reduction in gun related incidents. Gun control is not the issue. President Obama going before the people and preaching the need for more gun control is at best laughable. Why do we only hear from him on this issue when it happens at a school, a mall, a church or any other public gathering place? Why does he not get up before the people every Monday and talk about the 20+ people who were killed or shot during an average weekend in Chicago. The following was taken from the Chicago Tribune dated September 21, 2015:

Eight people were killed and at least 45 people were wounded in shootings between Friday evening and early Monday, making it the second most violent weekend in Chicago this year. The only weekend that was worse was July 3-6, when 57 people were shot, seven fatally, according to an analysis of Chicago Tribune data on shootings and homicides. When compared with non-holiday weekends, this past weekend was the worst with 53 people shot. The next highest weekends were Aug. 8-10. Forty or more people were shot every weekend from July 24 to 27 to Aug. 28-31. Since March, the number of gunshot victims has reached double digits every single weekend, according to the data. Since April 10-13, the number of gunshot victims has always been 25 or more.

Why do we not hear President Obama talking about these statistics? He can’t. Why? Illinois and especially Chicago have some of the most stringent gun laws in the country. He can’t because these shooting happened one or two at a time. It would be hard to stand before the people and cry a need for more gun control when the most stringent gun control laws in Chicago and other cities doesn’t seem to work. As I have said several times in the past and will continue to say, these victims don’t matter to the Administration, what matters is they now have another opportunity to sell the American public in their moment of shock and grief that more gun control laws will stop these senseless killings. Well, tell me Chicago, how is that working for you.

Whether or not one would actually stand up and admit this can only be answered in your mind, but gun control is not about stopping shootings, it’s about people control. Here are just a few quotes regarding gun control from leaders who insisted it wasn’t about people control:

“Jews (§5 of the First Regulations of the German Citizenship Law of 14 November 1935, Reichsgesetzblatt I, p. 1333) are prohibited from acquiring, possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons. Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority.”

“Gun control has not worked in D.C. The only people who have guns are criminals. We have the strictest gun laws in the nation and one of the highest murder rates. It’s quicker to pull your Smith and Wesson than to dial 911 if you’re being robbed.” – Lieutenant Lowell Duckett, President Black Police Caucus, Special Assistant to Washington, D.C. Police Chief

“Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew’s possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation.” Nazi Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

“The measures adopted to restore public order are: First of all, the elimination of the so-called subversive elements. … They were elements of disorder and subversion.  On the morrow of each conflict I gave the categorical order to confiscate the largest possible number of weapons of every sort and kind.  This confiscation, which continues with the utmost energy, has given satisfactory results.”
– Benito Mussolini, address to the Italian Senate, 1931

“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun.  The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”
– Mao Tze Tung, Nov 6 1938

“Armas para que? (“Guns, for what?”)”
A response to Cuban citizens who said the people might need to keep their guns, after Castro announced strict gun control in Cuba.
– Fidel Castro

And last but certainly not least…

“US Senator, If I could have banned them all – ‘Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns’ – I would have!”
– Diane Feinstein, Statement on TV program 60 Minutes, Feb 5 1995

Was the incident in Roseburg tragic? Yes it was. Were any of the other incidents that have occurred tragic? Yes they were. But gun control is not the answer.

There are several areas of concern we need to look at. We do not need to be increasing gun control but looking at our country and learning why America’s society has reached a point to where someone is willing to gather multiple guns and ammunition and walk into a school with the focused intent of killing as many people as they can. Why does Chicago have so many shootings and killings as they do? I believe (okay here comes the conspiracy theory) this is all by plan. Segments of our population has been misled and lied to by some in our government into the thinking that government can provide for them better than they can if they had a job, hence Welfare. How do we keep the jobs from being available to those who are in need of them? By making them “not available.” Our corporate taxes are so high that companies take their jobs and profits off shore to protect the shareholders. If those in power can increase the number of recipients of government welfare enough; after all it is easier to make money for doing nothing vs. having to actually work for it, they only assure themselves of being re-elected year after year after year. When you have large number of welfare recipients living on dismal welfare money they want more and without an education and available jobs they can’t work for it so they turn to drugs and other types of crime, all of which requires a gun, which increases gun violence thereby gives reason to preach more gun control.

Another area of control is in the education system. If you look at the cities with the highest rates of unemployment, highest number of reported shootings you will likely find a school system with higher drop out rates. In these cities and districts you will find a defunct educational system run by a union and teachers that are only interested in maintaining the highest salary possible. The City of New York at one time had what was referred to as “rubber rooms” where teachers who were no longer capable of actually teaching went to this room or rooms read newspapers, watched television, slept or any other number of things and still continued to get paid. I believe they have stopped this practice due to being discovered. Try firing a teacher in one of these defunct cities and you will find it is almost impossible. The number of young adults who are voicing their support for Bernie Sanders should in it’s self be frightening. Bernie, it seems, is a self proclaimed Socialist and has proudly displayed his love for socialism for years. In socialist countries guns are not welcome. I include this bit of information in the section dealing with education only because our high schools and colleges and universities are openly criticizing our form of government in favor of socialism. This is the explanation for their high rate of support for Bernie Sanders. We are sending our children in to classrooms where they are being indoctrinated into the socialist mindset.

A third area is entertainment. We have movies that glorify this type of incident raising the predator to Hollywood status leaving the individual that has social acceptance problems with the misaligned belief that he or she will get social recognition by committing this type of act. The second part of this area is the extremely graphic video games that is desensitizing our youth to the violence and carnage that is associated with this type of crime.

A fourth area is our media, especially the social media sites, i.e., Face book, Snap Chat etc. Again, I have said many times these incidents would not occur at the rate they are if weren’t for the attention the shooter received raising them to an almost hero status in the eyes of a deranged person who wants his name remembered in history. Chris Harper Mercer in his recent Internet post seemed to idolize Adam Lanza and the publicity he received for his shooting at Newtown, Conn. Yes, copycat criminals are real.

The last area and I believe the most important one we must look at is the continued attempt to remove our Christian beliefs. In recent years Christianity has practically become oppressed to where it is almost beyond recognition. It has now come to the point to where we can’t have any Christian symbols exhibited for fear it may make some people feel uncomfortable. We are more worried about being politically correct than morally right. Go to some other countries and tell them you feel uncomfortable looking at their religious symbols. Our colleges and universities are openly condemning Christianity and makes it increasingly hard for a Christian student to attend without being bullied. Bullying it seems is okay as long as it is directed at Christians. It has been reported the shooter in Roseburg, OR asked the students if they were Christian if they answered yes they were told to stand up. They were killed. The others who denied being Christian were shot in the leg. When prayer was removed from our schools we started seeing increases in the drop out rate, teen pregnancies, drug use started increasing along with general crime and society has continued down its slippery dark road ever since.

I will end this blog with this. We now have a society that has no moral compass, no grounded knowledge of right or wrong much less absolute right or wrong.

Never Let A Good Crisis Go To Waste

The cliché “Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste” has withstood yet another heart breaking event. This time in Charlestown, S.C. where Dylann Storm Roof entered the Emanuel AME Church where he attended a prayer meeting for about an hour then without warning started shooting the people who attended the meeting, killing nine.

Obama, instead of coming to the microphone and talking to the people of South Carolina and especially Charlestown offering condolences and talking about healing, he did mention these but on a limited basis stayed focused on gun control by saying “Once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun,” He went on saying “at some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence doesn’t happen in other countries.” Not true and once again, he jumps in front of the microphone and speaks before he has all the facts.

What I am about to say might seem harsh by some but the fact remains that the current administration and anti-gun groups couldn’t care less about the nine lives that were lost due Wednesday nights shooting. They only see another opportunity to mount their anti-gun wagon and ride it as hard as they can while the emotions are running high. Never let a good crisis go to waste. Catch the masses while they are hurting and you can win them to your way of thinking. They will say anything to make their point. Bob Shrum, a Democratic advisor and top campaign aid to the then presidential candidate and now Secretary of State John Kerry, on Friday’s episode of MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” made the following statement; It’s hard to imagine how the massacre at the Emanuel AME Church, the shooting would have been a “horror” if the black parishioners were armed. “Now I cannot imagine the horror that could have occurred if people were sitting around with concealed weapons, this thing started, and you have a full-scale gunfight, you might not even have three survivors,”

This incident also proves that semi-automatic rifles, assault guns, black rifles, combat rifles or whatever you want to call them are not the problem. Dylann has a criminal record and felony charges pending from past crimes. He probably can’t legally own a gun but that didn’t stop him from using a pistol shooting a 45-caliber bullet. He had to reload 5 times to inflict the carnage that was done. He was gone before anyone could call the police, [proof] that if we turn in our guns and wait on the police we are up the creek without a paddle, however; had someone there been a legally concealed carry person and armed we might have one person shot maybe two but certainly not nine bodies laying dead on the floor. The reason why Mr. Shrum’s statement doesn’t hold accurate is far to in-depth for this article but short answer is, the element of surprise, Dylann was not expecting any return fire. A church member returning fire would have certainly changed his focus.

The question that needs to be asked more than any other is what has happened to society that would lead a person to do this type of ruthless killing of innocent, unarmed, defenseless people. I’m sure there are going to be more than a few [educated] psychologists giving us definitions of what it is to be a racist. I really don’t think we need to be told what a racist is. After all is said and done no one will even begin to talk about what the real problem is that exist in America today. The problem we have today can only be linked to the removal of God from our lives. To many people, Dylann included, do not have a moral compass to guide them.

Without going into a history lesson on how and why this country was formed I want to jump to 1963. This is the year that the Supreme Court of the United States declared that prayer was no longer allowed in schools. Within a few years after 1963 society started seeing a higher dropout rate, lower SAT scores, teen pregnancy started rising and more and more teenaged children started drugs and alcohol at a rate that was not seen before 1963. We had the sexual revolution, the era of the hippies where you could drive down any main street (Peachtree Street and 14th Street in Atlanta) and by weed right from the sidewalk. Free sex was anywhere one could find privacy, and sometimes not so private. To a teenager just barely old enough to drive the visualization of all of this was almost over whelming. I still remember seeing the graphic writing of “Love, Sex and the Ecstasy of Drugs” painted everywhere.

This was only the beginning of life without God. As we move along we come to the time when these same hippies started raising families. Their philosophy was we didn’t need God so we’re not going to introduce our children to Him. If they want to meet Him let them do when they grow up. This group started the divorce revolution where divorce became a normal. Every generation since has put God a farther and farther back in the shadows where He is not to be seen or heard. Every generation since we have seen a continued intellectual, moral, and artistic decline of society to where we are today.

We are now seeing more open ridicule and verbal slanderous persecution of Christians here in America. It is becoming very un-cool to be called a Christian, to be seen going to church or attending a church function. There are organized groups of people who do nothing but look for ways to bring suit against the Christian Church and Christians to further drive us into the shadows. We can no longer have Nativity Scenes; we have to call Christmas the Winter Holiday or Winter Solstice Holiday. We can’t have any public display of anything regarding Christ. How long will it be before they come into our yards saying we can’t display a cross or any other Christian symbol during Christian holidays? I am reminded of what Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps said “FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE SOCIALISTS…”

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

How long will it be before we have no one left to speak for us?

Do we really have to wonder why Dylann did what he did? The boy has not had any moral compass in his life at all. According to his friends there were signs that he was going off the deep end with his thinking. They saw this but non-Christians and now it seems even Christians don’t get involved in other peoples’ lives asking them if they are hurting, or need help. I used the term non-Christian even though I don’t know these people. I do know that if you were to ask them they might tell you they are Christian without even knowing what it means to be a Christian.

I am not saying that Dylann is any way excused for what he did. He can be labeled terrorist, racist and probably a couple of other titles but when you have this type of situation where we are learning he had a very questionable background to say the least we have to examine what brought him to this point. We can never expect to fix a problem if we don’t know what the problem is. We have a media system; print, TV and radio that is quick to jump to labeling everything as racist and there are too many people who don’t take the time to research and learn what is happening in society and will accept everything the major outlets put out, and yes I will include FOX News in this category also.

We have a society that has lost its moral compass. We have a society that does not believe in God or that through a personal relationship with Jesus their lives will have focus. We no longer value life, other people’s or our own. If you don’t value something you will use it unwisely then discard it. It is the same with life. God gave us life and our bodies, it doesn’t and shouldn’t matter the color, origin or nationality we need to respect all life as God-given.

Edit was done to change the number of victims from ten to nine.

Just One Question

Just one question. When are the anti-gun groups going to Pakistan to launch a gun registration law, gun buy back programs etc.? After all we can’t have those evil guns over there running loose.

Once again I step up on my guns is not the problem soapbox. This article is only to encourage you to look beyond their rederick and too often misleading facts and conduct your own research, you might find some interesting facts as you go.

According to some of the radio talk shows there seems to be some who are looking to use the Pakistan school shooting to fuel their anti gun rants over here. Do these people just sit in eager anticipation waiting on another school shooting. I’m sure they get all giddy when one occurs. I’m not saying they want children to be killed but as Rahm Emanuel once said “never let a good crisis go to waste”. They must have a school shooting radar somewhere that alerts them. Also, I will apologize here for any grammatical or spelling errors as I did all my research and typing on my cellphone while working a part time job.

According to my non-scientific study (Wikipedia) there have been 352 school shootings in America since 1966. This number includes approximately 40 which either committed suicide or were shot and killed by police or other armed persons. The highest number at one school was Virginia Tech with 33.
Yes, three hundred and fifty two deaths are too many but I will always argue that gun control is not the answer. Do your research and see how many of the student shooters were on or recently on mind altering prescription medications and just took it upon themselves to stop their medications or increase their dosage without supervision. Something triggered these people, the guns just didn’t jump into their hands making them commit these acts. There are no shortage of articles on the internet showing the problems associated with psychotropic drugs especially when unsupervised and until we learn to recognize the source of hyperactive learning disabilities and use corrections other than chemical medications we will continue to have undesirable results.

Oh, just one more thought, Islam, the religion of peace. Yeah right.

My Thoughts on Gun Confiscation

Are you as sick and tired as I am of being blamed for the unspeakable crimes of insane killers? This was one of the lead lines in an article in the August 2014 issue of American Rifleman, written by Wayne LaPierre, the NRA Executive Vice President. Why did I choose to use a line somebody else wrote? Simple. That is exactly the way I feel along with many others and follows the same thoughts I have written about in the past. While Wayne took a more subdued approach I have never been known to hide my inner feelings. Yes, I do try to stay in touch with my inner feelings. The only other article title I would have used would be “Why Are We Being Misled by Falsely Reporting Crime Statistics” or another would be “Why are Whites Being Mischaracterized by Media Reporting of Crime Statistics” especially the ones clinging to their guns and bibles. Let me give you something to look for that is easy to prove. Watch your television commercials selling any items that depicts crimes in progress e.g. alarm companies, do you ever see a black person shown as a criminal? Continue looking at our media environment and you will see the white person especially male is usually shown as the criminal. Why?

So, here is another take on an article I wrote some time ago concerning the relentless attacks on you and I and our right to own, carry and use a firearm for protection or sport.

As we explore the desire by the gun grabbing groups to take away the ownership of all guns by lawful citizens we have to look at their use of crimes involving guns and we learn we are being lied to. The anti-gun groups will twist the truth and lie directly to achieve their results. When one looks at statistics we have to remember that most can be slanted to show deception to accomplish the goal of the person using the stat. Past quotes by Sarah Brady indicate the thinking of anti-gun lobbyist showing their intent to remove guns from every ones possession. Here are just two of Sara Brady’s quotes: 1. I don’t believe gun owners have rights 2. We must get ride of all guns.

In order to work around this deception we need to start conducting our on research and compare the findings. The media and the gun grab groups repeatedly use mass shootings, especially school shootings, as their benchmark to gain sympathy from those that lean liberal, progressive and democrat. They are doing it for the safety of the children. They never show a complete picture of crimes involving the use of guns. The report The Color of Crime (2005, second expanded edition) by the New Century Foundation states that there are several problems with the official crime statistics in the United States. These tend to cause underestimation of racial crime differences. I will admit this report is several years old but it does cover several areas I feel is important. There was a video of the writer on You Tube discussing his book but You Tube removed the video because of content. Imagine that. Without going into the study of Homo sapiens and sub Homo sapiens and the various races of humans we have to realize that in defining race on most or some booking reports and crime sheets Hispanics are sometimes referred to as White. With that in mind when we see a number referencing white crime those numbers might include Hispanic numbers meaning the percentage for white would be even less.

The writers’ major findings were stated as:

  •  Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.
  • When Blacks commit crimes of violence they are nearly three times more likely than non-Blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.
  • Hispanics commit violent crimes at roughly three times the white rate, and Asians commit violent crimes at about one-quarter the White rate.
  • The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is Black and Hispanic.
  • Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving Blacks and Whites, Blacks commit 85 percent and Whites commit 15 percent.
  • Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are Black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When Whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are Black.
  • Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a White than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.
  • Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa. We are never told of these.
  • Only 10 percent of youth gang members are white.
  • Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely, and Asians are nine times more likely.
  • Between 1980 and 2003 the US incarceration rate more than tripled, from 139 to 482 per 100,000, and the number of prisoners increased from 320,000 to 1.39 million.
  • Blacks are seven times more likely to be in prison than Whites. Hispanics are three times more likely.

What can we take away from this information? We see that blacks are far more likely to be involved in any type of crime vs. Whites, Hispanic and other nationalities. Why is that? I believe it is orchestrated by the politics in this country especially involving the Democrat Party. They have convinced the black population that their party is supporting them and will continue to provide for their needs. The only problem is they are not fulfilling their commitment. The democrats’ response is to provide below standard housing, food stamps and free medical service along with other services. The only problem I see with this and this is from my observation of 25 years of working in law enforcement, is the housing is sub-par, most of the units I have been in have no air conditioning, below standard heating and landscaping that consist of red clay with intermittent areas of concrete and many are 40-50 years old. This environment does nothing to bring about an improved self-esteem. I also see multi generations of children, parents, grand parents and great grand parents living in these housing projects bringing their dependency to an even higher level. Teen pregnancy is much higher in these areas. I have not seen any attempt to bring any work training or any effort to create a useful work program within these areas. There is no attempt to encourage education or higher education, why? They have been led to believe by the Democrats’ that they are experiencing improvement and their lifestyle is becoming better. Better compared to what? I believe it is the intent of the Democrat Party to maintain as many voters as they can by legal bribery and holding the unsuspecting hostage. Look at the percentage of blacks that vote Democrat vs. Republican from local elections all the way up to the office of the President. Is there an answer in this dilemma? Yes, but the truth as always hurts.

We, whites and blacks, need to work together to change our focus from maintaining to actually taking steps to improve the living conditions of the black race. I really do believe there are many that don’t want to live as they do; they just need a helping hand not a providing hand. I once had the opportunity to have a state representative ride with me for a full shift. During this ride along we discussed several major subjects. The subject that most angered him was my response to education. I explained to him that I thought the current standards were completely unacceptable for promoting a proper education. I ask him to go inside any public elementary school and look at the environment and tell me where he see’s anything that visually encourages a student to learn. Instead I told him he would see drab Gray colored walls with nothing stimulating a learning environment. The individual rooms are no better with plan green chalkboard, not enough if any computers, some still with little or no air conditioning, and teachers that are more worried about getting a pay increase than teaching the children. I also went on to say, this is where I really angered him, if we are serious about improving the education in this country we have to find a grade level, I suggested 5th grade and say from that grade up they are lost. Life will be as usual. From that grade down we need to build schools starting with the primary schools that actually stimulate a child to want to learn and bring teachers in that are not rewarded by the number of years they can survive the system but reward them by results. We also need to find ways to encourage parental involvement and maybe with any luck help the parent(s) to better their education. At this point and at his request I took him to the station where he got into his car and drove off. As of this writing his district still rates very low in high school graduation. I wonder why?

The next area we need to improve on is our resistance to the tactics currently used by the anti-gun groups. We need to become gun activist taking other like-minded people with us to Town Hall meetings or any political meeting where a politician is and voice our support of the 2nd Amendment and require that accurate information be used in media reporting. But most important we need to hold our politicians accountable to the campaign promises made. Anything less and they will be replaced.

As usual I am not trying to suggest that my way is the right way although I feel it is not the wrong way either, I am only trying to raise enough anger, curiosity and want for more information to cause you to do your own research to see if I am telling you the truth and in the process of doing this you might become more knowledgeable and more angry leading you to take further steps.
