09/11

Tomorrow will mark the 15th anniversary of a day that unfortunately will become just another day in history. September 11, 2001, the day Osama Bin Laden launched an attack on America that for a short period of time brought all Americans together, white, black, man, woman, child, and even Republican’s and Democrat’s. September 11, brought countries together, but, more importantly, September 11, brought Americans to God in such numbers that churches were overflowing. Americans were turning to God to protect and bless America. Americans were turning to Christ in unprecedented numbers much like the numbers seen during the great revivals. America, for a short period of time, truly was a Christian Nation; of course, this was before Obama. America for a short time was a very pride filled, not in an unhealthy way but in a good way. American’s was flying the American Flag from whatever they could fly it from, but now we have schools who want to ban the flying of the American Flag for fear of offending some students and communities. The pride and patriotism that was shown after 09/11 hasn’t been seen in America since World War Two when every American sacrificed personally and freely to see America victorious. During WWII Americans went without meat so their soldiers could eat, they held metal and rubber drives so there could be equipment for their soldiers, women who had never held a job went to work in local factories to help build planes, tanks, ships or whatever was needed without complaining. America’s manufacturing plants that produced products for civilian consumption switched over to manufacture products that were needed on the war front, without complaining. Americans bought Bonds, everywhere you turned you were encouraged to buy Bonds, and even the children became involved in supporting America. Now, it seems to support America is regarded as wrong, we are being told that we shouldn’t take pride in a country that has advanced far above all other countries. We are told that we shouldn’t take pride in our ability to help those who are becoming victims of genocide by dictator rulers who massacre anyone or groups who want to live in a society that would promote freedom. Our colleges and universities are teaching; well, our colleges and universities are no longer teaching, instead, they have become indoctrination camps intent on turning our young adults against America and America’s way of life, and they are doing a really good job in doing this. We now have higher education promoting segregation by providing Black only housing. I thought that is what the 60’s civil rights protest was against, forced segregation, and for equality in jobs, education, and housing. How soon we forget. Now we have campuses giving perks to illegal students, College Professors removing any references to 9/11 that students put up, it seems that to even discuss 9/11 is a violation of free speech. Depaul University launched a free speech lecture series and banned conservative speakers. This list of anti-American examples could go on for pages but not to bore anyone I will end with this. I fear the America we have loved, respected, fought and died for will soon be lost if hurtful changes aren’t made. And yes, it might be too late for those changes to occur.

I started this writing about 9/11 and will end it on 9/11. Tomorrow, Sunday, September 11, take a moment to reflect back, especially to those who are too young to remember that tragic attack on America and talk to them explaining the way America once was, what made America great and why it is okay to Make America Great again.

Do We Really Care Anymore

I received the link below from one of our Congressional members a few days ago but was too busy to really read all of it and process what I had seen. What I do see, and what really upsets me more, is knowing that there are those who would let Americans die when there was no need for it, just for their personal gain. In seeing and listening to what has transpired over the last few years during the Benghazi investigation should alarm every American; whether Republican, Democrat, White, Black, Hispanic, legal or not and any other people that have decided to make this land their home. It didn’t take long to realize there were several other releases pertaining to this same topic but some didn’t seem to be as complete as this was. As I said, being too busy to read it with any depth I did listen to as much as I was able to on the radio, Sirius radio and several radio stations around the country on I-Hart Radio. What I heard, disappointed me more than the article itself.

What was it that disappointed me so? It was the realization that many Americans just don’t care about what happened in Benghazi. We have become a country where people only think about themselves and [m]aybe their family. We have become a nation of people that says as long as it doesn’t interfere with me directly I don’t want to know about it nor do I care. We have become a nation of people that says I will vote for the person who I think will help me, personally, the most and it doesn’t matter if that person doesn’t want the best for America, or my children and grandchildren I only want for me right now. Let the younger generation worry about their future later. That is what disappoints me the most.

In looking at what America has become regarding the welfare of America, I want to find a place of solitude where I can look back on an America where people cared for their neighbor but actually knew them, they had an interest in seeing their community do well. A place where children were told they could accomplish whatever they wanted in life. I would like to see an America where people toiled over their labor and enjoyed the personal reward of knowing they had accomplished something worthwhile. I would like to see an America where God, the God of The Holy Bible, was still in the forefront of people’s lives where we weren’t afraid to admit that we believed in God and Jesus Christ. A place where we weren’t afraid to let our children go to the bathroom on their own and didn’t have to worry about some mentally deranged person who can’t make up their mind what he or she wants to be for that day being turned loose in there with our child because our government says we have to go along with it. What does this have to do with the Benghazi Investigation? Simply this, if we still lived in an America where these issues mattered there would be no doubt that these investigations would not have happened at all because instead of being called to “Stand Down” our soldiers would have been told to go kick some ass. Integrity

While listening to a national radio talk show today, the host spoke about integrity. His comment dealt with the presidential candidates but it did get me to thinking about our country, our current state of affairs but more about our personal lives. Integrity, it seems, is something we seem to have diluted to the point of almost non-existence.

There are several definitions of integrity depending on which dictionary you use but the definition I found most interesting was “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Take a moment and read the definition again only a little slower letting the words sink in. Having done numerous bible studies, I have found it to be helpful sometimes when reading the bible to break down a verse by keywords. Here is a time I think this would be good. The key words in this definition are; honest, moral principles and moral uprightness.

• Honest: good and truthful; not lying, stealing or cheating, not hiding the truth about something.
• Moral Principles: the principles of right and wrong that are accepted by an individual or a social group. (remember social group later)
• Moral Uprightness: the quality of being honest, responsible, and moral.

As a child, I received several whippings for not being truthful when caught in a lie. I believe feeling the pain of a spanking along with my mom or dad explaining why I was getting a spanking and that being I lied, is still remembered today and is probably one of the reasons I hold truth to such a high standard. I also remember how I felt when I discovered someone had lied to me; the feeling of betrayal was not a good feeling. As I have grown older I’ve had the opportunity to see people demonstrate both truthfulness and deceit. Once a person uses lies it becomes easier each time they resort to lying, and lies change with time. The truth remains the same.

Our society once held honesty to a very high standard but now honesty is not important and lying has become the norm. What changes brought us to this point. Being a Christian and doing time line studies of the last One Hundred Years of social behavior I found the most dramatic change occurred during the sixties and early seventy’s. It was during this time that society went through several changes; prayer was taken out of our public schools, we had the hippie generation, the drug, and sexual revolution, we became more self-focused instead of family focused always wanting to have more than our neighbor, entertainment took on a different view of what was acceptable on television and in our movies etc. Society lost its moral compass, there is no identification of absolute right or wrong, the lines have become blurred by confusion, uncertainties and a general feeling of being lost.

Up until the 60’s our lives had been rooted, we had a solid foundation to rest on. We had family that supported us; we had a spiritual foundation that always provided an internal knowledge of right and wrong. Honesty still prevailed in our lives. Our schools taught us on the Christian foundation this country was founded on. Our houses of worship preached hell fire and brimstone (they preached the truth as the Bible teaches) instead of what we have now, preachers being afraid to preach on sins as demonstrated in the Bible for fear of not being “politically correct,” Church’s and Sunday schools are becoming more of an entertainment center instead of teaching the moral responsibility of being a Christian, we’re not singing songs that effect out internal need of God but instead we are signing songs that make “us” happy. Preachers do not want to pressure anyone so they don’t give alter calls and some don’t even read from scripture but they don’t mind asking for your tithe. This list could go on and on.

Our schools have let our children down from primary through college. There is no discipline in our schools (a problem also brought on by a lack of good parenting), lying and cheating have become the accepted norm. Our educational system no longer teaches true American history, portions of America’s history are intentionally left out of both the American history books and in world history books. Liberalism and socialism have become the standard of teaching in today’s class. We are witnessing American history being rewritten (the truth being omitted) right before our eyes and we are doing nothing about it. Our children are being lied to and we see nothing wrong with that. Revisionists are rewriting America’s history. Revisionism is the common method employed by those seeking to subvert American culture and society. The dictionary defines revisionism as an “advocacy of the revision of an accepted, usually long-standing view, theory, or doctrine: especially a revision of historical events and movements. Revisionism attempts to alter the way a people views its history and traditions in order to cause that people to accept a change in public policy.

The willingness of the American citizen to accept lie’s, deceit, and cheating, along with criminal acts from the very people who should be setting the example amazes me. A question one of the national news channels polls indicated a real problem in America, one of the questions asked was; should honesty play a role in deciding on whether a politician should be elected or not. The answer was 30%. Only thirty percent expects their elected politician to exhibit honesty. Seventy percent believes it is okay to be deceitful or lie to the people. What does that say about the integrity of the American citizen? The saying of “tell me what I want to hear instead of the truth” rings true. People would rather be lied to than be told the truth even though the truth will eventually come out. Right after that bit of information was given we are told about Robert Battle, a Councilman in East Chicago, who was sworn into office while in jail and in handcuffs on murder charges along with several other federal charges. This is not Mr. Battles first term in office. My question regarding Mr. Battle is how did he ever get elected to his first term in office? It appears he has several arrests records dating back to 2000 all for drug-related charges. One reason is the location of where he was elected, Chicago, a Democrat majority city, seems to be blind when looking at the integrity of elected politicians. Is this just a Chicago problem or is this blindness toward Democrat and Republican politician’s a national problem? Is this blindness toward politicians lying becoming the new normal in our political lives?

When looking at our political arena, we have two parties, Democrat, and Republican. Both parties have had their struggles throughout our history and neither party is what they started out being. Some would say, myself included, that we now have only one party, the Politicians Party. Both parties, I believe, at one point in history supported America and American values. I believe both Democrats and Republicans stood and fought side by side in wars defending our way of life not casting doubt, blame or hate toward the beliefs of the other. Both proudly defending the rights of Americans, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and any other number of documents making America the great country she was. Both parties believed America was the greatest country in the world. Both parties had a basic fundamental belief in God and the importance of Christian beliefs in the forming of the Unites States of America. Both parties knew that for America to continue in her greatness certain inalienable rights needed to remain in the forefront of America’s freedoms and that being the First and Second Amendment. Both parties knew that God and only God was responsible for this piece of land we call the United States of America becoming the great country it is. Both parties knew the coming together of 56 signers of the Constitution wasn’t merely by happenchance. It was not happenchance we became the greatest country in the world.

The question we are faced with now is, what are we going to do regarding the integrity of America, our politicians and ourselves along with the integrity of our children. I have told my children that when a person dies, he doesn’t die he lives on in the action of our children and grandchildren. This integrity and character that is displayed in our children are the mirrored reflection of our integrity and character. How will your children’s integrity and character be seen?

Is America Becoming a Modern Day Sodom?

Preface: This particular blog is one that I have spent countless hours on even before writing the first line. I gave thought to doing this blog in two parts but decided a person’s interest might be lost between the first part and second part so I am working on the premise that once I have your interest I don’t want to loose it. Also, in an effort to shorten the blog instead of writing out all of the biblical references I will only show biblical books, chapters and verses except where needed for clarification. You can use a version of the Bible you are familiar with reading but do read the verses.

Is America Becoming a Modern Day Sodom?

All through my life I have heard people reference the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. Their sins were so great we have current laws today, Sodomy, that reference the city mentioned in the Book of Genesis. The people of Sodom had turned from God in such a vile way that He destroyed the city and all that lived there. Genesis 18:20-21

Their sin became focused on sexual immorality. Homosexuality especially was the pleasure of the day. They were not ashamed to own it, and to prosecute their design by force and arms. This had reached a level that caused great displeasure in the eyes of God. He sent two angels to Sodom. As they reached the gates of the city Lot was there to meet them. Lot requested they stay at his house knowing what it would be for them in the city. After strongly requesting the angels to stay at his house the angels agreed and went there.

Read Genesis 19:4-11

These verses are a good representation of current day events. The homosexual community only amounts to approximately 3.8% of our population according to Gallop. The following is from their website as of August 4, 2015,

The American public estimates on average that 23% of Americans are gay or lesbian, little changed from Americans’ 25% estimate in 2011, and only slightly higher than separate 2002 estimates of the gay and lesbian population. These estimates are many times higher than the 3.8% of the adult population who identified themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in Gallup Daily tracking in the first four months of this year.

We can probably raise that to 3.9% now that we can add Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner to the list. Also, I will concede that there are some who do not want to admit either on paper or verbally they are gay, so with that we can only guess to that number and for this blog I will put 5.0%, which would still only amount to 8.8%.

This active 3.8% gay population through intimidation, coercion, threats and other means necessary i.e., our federal government, has bullied (forced) the American public into accepting they’re chosen lifestyle. Think about that for a moment. If you line up 100 people less than 4 would be gay yet the other 96 are being forced to accept everything the 4 admitted gay people demands.

Why are the 96% so willing to go along with the 4%? Because the available information, i.e. polling, has been skewed to make homosexuality look normal and anyone who doesn’t agree is either homophobic, hate-mongers, uneducated or Conservative.

When did our country begin to be coerced into accepting homosexuality as normal? The University of California, Davis, shows that in 1973 the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Defects. There was fierce opposition to this decision by other physiatrists. The APA claims the change was due to empirical data, coupled with changing social norms and the development of a politically active gay community in the United States. With this reasoning would it be fair to say that if the new social norm were to accept Pedophilia as normal then would it be removed as a diseased condition. Political correctness was being born.

What are the steps to changing the public’s view? There are not as many steps as one would think, nor are they complicated. There are basically two ways to change the attitude of a population: education and entertainment. If you look at the available polling it is the lower middle age and younger adults and those in the high school and upper educational system, and now our primary schools, that finds homosexuality as being normal. Either one of these, especially the educational process, has complete control of our younger generation and children. We send our children into the public school system not having any idea of what is being taught and the children are led to believe by the parents and society that teachers are smart, trusting and know the information they are teaching. There is now a bill proposed to require “all school districts K-12” to celebrate gay, lesbian and transgender history in America. I have also learned the Dorito Chips is bringing out a rainbow chip and the proceeds will go to LGBT groups. Dorito chips are probably the most visible chips in our public schools.

The second is entertainment especially television and movies both of which are visual. When a young mind is repeatedly subjected visually to a way of life, right or wrong, they will soon become tolerant of it and find no problems in experimenting with their own feelings and emotions. There are several television shows that show openly gay relationships between males in several age groups. ABC is the biggest proponent in showing same-sex relationships on television. These two venues will eventually have a change in the way religion looks at homosexuality. We now have 3 states, California, New Jersey and the District of Columbia that have made it illegal for a minor child to seek counseling for sexual feelings he feels are not in line with his or her gender. If a therapist, counselor or a Doctor of Psychiatry is found to have counseled a minor on these issues they could lose their license. There are numerous other states considering similar bills.

The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice has banned any Chaplains from saying that homosexuality is a sin. According to Todd Starnes a contributor for Fox News on August 11, 2015 writes that Chaplain David Wells was told he could either sign a state-mandated document promising to never tell inmates that homosexuality is “sinful” or else The Kentucky Department of Justice would revoke his credentials.

Chaplain Wells stood fast to Gods word and refused to sign the document and yes, his credentials were revoked. How many Chaplains signed the paper and sold out God? Where would you stand if this happened to you? Would you stand up for God or give in to “political correctness?”

But the issue still remains, is homosexuality something we are born with or is it a learned process by choice? Most I believe choose this lifestyle. They are usually experimental by nature and are willing to defy the accepted standards and live outside of society boundaries. They try homosexual relations and if they like the experience they either become bi-sexual or homosexual; either way they can’t turn back as the “community” now knows they are “gay.” The longer they stay in this lifestyle the harder it is for them to revert to being straight.

With that in mind, I do believe there are some that are born with homosexual traits. I have known several who were married but displayed feminine traits. Did they live the gay life? No, they chose not to and maintained a strong functional family. This brings up another issue how does one know if he or she is gay? With today’s influence from social media along with television and movies if they have any traits at all they will be swayed to follow them.

Where is the church on this issue? Scripture makes it clear and mandates one male and one female. Read Genesis 1:27-28. If the church is to continue using Gods word as their moral compass then they have to take a vocal stand against homosexuality.

Pastor John Hobbs in a recent lecture in one of our local churches gave the following information regarding the behavioral and identity issues of homosexuality.

Nowhere do we find unnatural tendencies excused because they are believed to have come naturally. We now have to answer the question; is homosexuality a behavioral issue or an identity issue? Behavior is acting on feelings and attractions and Identity is defining oneself based on those same feelings. Should we follow the desires we have had all our life and should we develop a personal identity based on those desires or have a higher standard for our life? There is an opportunity up to a point to where a person can make a conscious decision to change and not become what he or she thinks they have feelings for.

What is the process that results in a person not being able to change their ways? Are we responsible for desires we did not choose? Here he shows six steps of how we are born with certain tendencies and desires to a life of choices.

  1. All are born in sin, Psalms 51:5. Even at an infants age we see selfish tendencies of the infant taking what they want and lying when caught etc.
  2. Tendencies lead to temptations and usually attacks the areas of our sinful tendencies. This is where our emotional urges occur.
  3. Once temptation occurs then it becomes a matter of choice.
  4. Giving in to temptation often quickly becomes habit
  5. When habits continue they become a compulsion.
  6. Compulsion then becomes addiction and addiction control our behavior.

The American Psychological Association says there are numerous theories about the origin of a person’s sexual orientation. Most scientists agree that sexual attributes are most likely the result of a complex interaction of environmental, cognitive and biological factors. In most people, sexual orientation is shaped at a very early age.

There are many, including myself, who believe there are two unforgivable sins that God will not forgive America as a country for: One is our governments open acceptance and promotion of homosexuality (talked about above) and the other is the shedding of innocent blood (abortions, an upcoming blog).

At this point, I want to make it perfectly clear that we as [individuals] can ask for and receive forgiveness for our sins. God gave us that gift through the crucifixion of Jesus. Romans 10:9-10 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. When Christ died on the cross he died for all sins of mankind both past, present and future. Without going into the theology of past generations, I will focus on present and future. Through Christ, we can have forgiveness but in order to receive forgiveness there are requirements we must follow. First is to recognize that Jesus died for our sins and the through Him and “ONLY” through Him, John 14:6, can we receive forgiveness just by asking for it by praying the sinner’s prayer (this prayer can’t be found in the Bible) but find a Pastor and they will walk you through the prayer and then by repenting our sins. Repent means to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin. As we can learn from Jude 1:7; those that allow themselves in unnatural uncleanness are marked for the vengeance of eternal fire. This is where the homosexual community has problems. They believe that by ignoring certain parts, chapters or verses in the Bible they are not sinning. They have convoluted Gods word to where they believe they have Gods approval of their continued sins because they have been misled to believe that through Jesus their sins are no longer sins. From that verse we can see what happens to the person that chooses homosexuality, but what about the rest of us? Should we expect anything less? By not at least speaking out in disapproval against homosexuality are we not approving of it? Are we to be excused from responsibility if we don’t speak up according to Gods word? Have we found the reasoning in this by saying our government has forced this on us, but yet we still vote for the same politicians that pushed this on us?

Has Satan struck us blind, not physically but morally under the “Politically Correct” rule?

In our Constitution we are given the order by which man must obey laws: Laws of nature, Natures God, along with our Creator given laws of unalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness and the last in order is Social Contract Laws. All but the last are Biblical laws with the last being man’s law.

As we have learned in life there are penalties to be paid for not obeying laws. These laws we are to obey are not limited to the laws of man but also and more important we are to first obey the laws of God and Natures Law. How is God going to judge those who don’t speak up? How is He going to judge you?

The only question that remains is where do you stand on homosexuality? Do you take a biblical view or society’s view? Your answer can and will have an effect on where you spend eternity.

Last word. I have probably read this a dozen times before posting it. This is a subject that crosses all race, gender, age, and income levels of our society. Homosexuality is not the only sin America has turned its moral beliefs from, but this is a sin that is mentioned very strongly in the bible. As I said earlier, my hope is this will cause you to learn more and if you have questions seek out a qualified counselor that has a good understanding of the bible and share your concerns, questions and feelings.

The Power in a Word and the Meaning of Being Born Again

Sunday, I had the opportunity to listen to two Pastors from Ecuador who were visiting America and were invited to our church. I found their humbleness to be most gratifying. During their testimony Pastor Jose spoke on Matthew 28:19 (NIV) 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. It was during this short talk that I realized the power of a verb in the Bible.

To often when we read the Bible we read a verse or several verses and look at the entire verse instead of looking at the words. Maybe this is due to the many speed-reading lessons that are out there that focuses on reading the greatest number of words and trying to put them to memorization without seeing the meaning behind the words. I will admit I might be the only person that does this due to my forgetting my grammar lessons and sentence diagraming from elementary and high school but it took a Pastor from Ecuador to remind me of what I have forgotten.

These 25 words in the NIV edition are probably some of the most important words in the Bible. Why, because this is where Jesus commissions the Disciples to do what He has trained them up to do. Let’s break this verse down and look at the verbs. In doing this I had to revisit some of my early learning to see just what a verb was. Of course I know a verb is something that shows action but I had forgotten there are more definitions of a verb. A Verb is a word that expresses action or a state of being. For the purpose of this blog I will only use the main definition that being “action.”

Why am I going through this? It is my hope that when you open your Bible you will actually look at the words that are spoken to us, and study what God wants us to learn from His inspired words. So to take this simple sentence that so many of us have memorized without actually realizing the importance of why it is spoken to us in the manner it is will hopefully open up a desire to re-read the Bible in a different way.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. As I said earlier this is a verse that answers many questions for me when I realized the emphasis placed on the verbs. When I understood the importance Jesus placed on these words I better understood this verse. As we read in Mathew Henry’s Commentaries he breaks the verse down where we can better understand the importance Jesus places not only on the disciples but on us as well. Jesus was commissioned by God to set about His business and empower the apostles. Jesus in turn empowers the apostles when he said, “Therefore go” through this empowering he gave to them all the power necessary to take his word forward. Jesus then told them where to take his word, “to all nations” Jesus did not limit them to only the friendly nations he gave the command “of all nations” excluding none. Also, during that time the areas inhabiting gentiles was avoided but this commission “to all nations” removed that barrier and opened the door for Gods word to be brought to the gentiles. It was Gods intent for all nations to become Christian nations, that Christianity be entwined into national constitutions.

Baptizing . For Baptism to follow Gods direction it must be done in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is something that should not be taken lightly. It is my feeling there are too many churches today that baptize for the numbers instead of the salvation of those being baptized. Can a person be saved or born again without being baptized, well, I will leave the details up to the scholars but I would like to think so. Baptism, either by submersion, sprinkling or washing is only an outward expression of an inward change. Baptism is for our eyes because we cannot see in the hearts of the baptized, only God can see there. It is what he see’s that matters, not what we see.

Another point mentioned Sunday was the difference between being a Christian and being Born Again. It has become to easy for someone to call them selves a Christian when they actually mean they attend church to look the part. It has become easy for a person to say they are Christian thinking that by saying “I’m a Christian” and saying I always do good things or I don’t take advantage of people or I tithe and give to charities etc. will save them. If we confronted these “Christians” we would find they don’t know the difference between being a Christian and the importance of being Born Again. To be Born Again is to repent, turn away from your sins ask for forgiveness and surrender yourself unto the Lord, placing your sins at the foot of the cross and resting on the knowledge that your soul has secured it’s reservation in God’s Kingdom.

An interesting point mentioned by Pastor Adrian, the second pastor, was how the the churches in Ecuador look to America as being a Godly Nation and how America has maintained Christianity at a level of reverence. When he said that I wanted to look away in shame. It is evident he hasn’t spent a lot of time here and when he does visit he only spends time in Christian surroundings. If he ventured out on his own for any length of time and engaged in conversation with many people from different areas and walks of life he would find things a little different. America has turned her back on God, maybe not as individuals but defiantly as a country. God, while he cares for each of us individually, also holds the country and it’s leaders to a higher standard. It is my sincere belief that God set America aside as the shining city on the hill to be the protector of the poor, the hungry, to those who live enslaved in countries where they have no rights, where they are victims of tyrannical leaders who encourage the genital mutilation in young girls or starve the people to the point of death. It is also my belief that we have let him down. There are so many ways as a country we have let God down that I feel there may not be another revival in America, that America is seeing the beginning of our end and all we have now is to make sure we as individuals are secure in our salvation and live by Matthew 28:19 and look deep in our souls and confirm we are truly born again.

America the Shamed

Part 1

On February 03, 2015 America and the World was shocked to learn that the Islamic State had put to death by fire the pilot of a Jordanian military jet, Mu’ath al-Kassasbeh. That act, in its self, spoke volumes to the word but as loud as that statement was it was dwarfed by the statement King Abdullah made. King Abdullah was here in America at the time the news broke that ISIS had carried through on their threat to kill Jordan’s pilot. We have since leaned that the actual execution might have been carried out in early January. King Abdullah left America early holding his comments until he returned to his country to share his grief and anger with the people of Jordan. Some leaders realize the importance of personal presence during challenging times.

Once back in Jordan, King Abdullah wasted no time in releasing his feelings, anger and comments regarding the horrendous vile execution by the savage Islamic terrorist group ISIS. King Abdullah assured his people that this act would not go unanswered. As quoted he said “The blood of martyr Mu’ath al-Kassasbeh will not be in vain and the response of Jordan and its army after what happened to our dear son will be severe.” It is told that he went on to quote from a movie Clint Eastwood stared in “Unforgiven” and I believe even mentioned Eastwoods name. The quote “Any man I see out there, I’m gonna kill him. Any son-of-a-bitch takes a shot at me, I’m not only going to kill him, I’m going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down.” If this was a word for word quote I don’t know, but to say the King is angry is an understatement. King Abdullah ordered the hanging of two ISIS prisoners Rishawi and Karboli. It is important to note that both of these terrorists had been found guilty of acts of terrorism and was already on death row. King Abdullah did not randomly pick two ISIS terrorists. Since this fast, directed and determined response King Abdullah has responded with several sorties killing many ISIS terrorist and ISIS leaders. As a result of the ISIS execution several countries has vowed to step up their support of Jordan. All countries that is except America. The Obama statements still run the route of let’s not cast blame on Islam. Several statements follow; “Whatever ideology they’re operating off of… it’s bankrupt” and “I think we will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of a global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated. Based on these statements and others I’m sure that ISIS is right now drafting up their surrender proposals. This statement that Obama said at the National Prayer Breakfast is the one that worries me the most, during his speech to politicians, dignitaries and faith leaders he said, “Remember, during the Crusades and Inquisition people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.” Did these happen? Yes, they did, but he did not say why we had the Crusades; the Crusades was in response to hundreds of years of Muslim oppression in the region asserting their pressure to force everyone to accept Islam. Unlike Mohammed, Christ did not advocate the ruthless killing of anyone who disagreed with Him or His message. Jesus’ words in Matthew 10:14 says; But whoever does not receive you, neither listens to your words, when you depart from the house or from the village, shake the dust from your feet.” In Luke 9:5 we are told; If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony agains them. I don’t see anywhere in those two verses where Jesus directs his followers to kill, behead or burn in a cage those people. Did Obama have a slip of the tongue our a well planned comment?

There are several countries that have in the past been part of the coalition against terrorism but have now pulled back. Why? Because of America’s lack of commitment. UAE, the most recent saying they fear for the safety of there pilots not being rescued. We are key players in the recovery of downed pilots. Our lack of commitment to provide and use the necessary equipment and troops to man the aircraft put boots on the ground to bring them out leaves many countries questioning why they want to subject their pilots to be a part of the coalition.

Our president has taken the position of a Conscientious objector on the part of America. He has consistently refused to label any terrorist actions as terror, terrorist or Islamic terrorist or as Muslims. He has refused to do anything or label any actions anything that might go against the religion of Islam. Remember his speech at the prayer breakfast. He has been overly protective of Islam and Muslims in general. I heard this statement on a local news show I can’t remember who said it but this statement is frighteningly true “America can no longer trust its friends and our enemies no longer fear us” While Obama is coddling Muslims and their religion we are loosing America one baby step at a time.
